About

Shropshire Cat Rescue is one of the UK’s largest regional cat rescue and rehoming centres and is based in Shrewsbury. The charity has been caring for and re-homing rescued and unwanted cats and kittens for over 21 years. In that time we have looked after over 8,000 cats. We provide shelter, veterinary care, food and lots of love and cuddles to hundreds of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens every year. We also care for feral colonies utilising a recognised trap, neuter and release (TNR) programme.

Finding wonderful new homes for

unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens is a huge part of what we do. We work hard to make the adoption process as simple as possible to match our cats with their forever homes.

Sponsorship

Sponsoring one of our resident cats is a great way of supporting the work of the charity. You can also sponsor the Nursery, Retirement Village or the whole Shelter. Click below to find out more  - the only difficulty is choosing which to sponsor.

retirement village

For some cats due to their age or illnesses, rehoming is not possible. That is why we have created our very own luxury retirement village which provides plenty of home comforts, veterinary care, and love for our more mature residents. Take a look at our retirement village gallery to see our OAP cats living their best life.
