Our Story
Shropshire Cat Rescue is a cat rescue and rehoming charity based in Shrewsbury and one of the UK's largest regional centres. For more than 35 years, we have been providing care, shelter and second chances to vulnerable cats and kittens across Shropshire. During that time, we have cared for over 13,000 cats.
Every year, we provide shelter, veterinary care, food and lifelong sanctuary to hundreds of abandoned, unwanted and vulnerable cats and kittens. We also care for feral cat colonies through our recognised Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) programme, helping to improve the welfare of cats across our local communities.

Adopt A Rescue Cat
Finding wonderful new homes for stray, abandoned and vulnerable cats and kittens is at the heart of what we do.
We take the time to understand the needs and personality of every cat in our care, working hard to make the adoption process as simple and supportive as possible.
Our goal is always to match our cats with the loving forever homes they deserve.

To ensure our volunteers are available to show you around we request that you complete the Visiting The Shelter Form.
Our volunteers will be in touch to book you in, please look out for an email from info@shropshirecatrescue.org.uk
If you have donations you want to drop off at the shelter, these can be left in the donations cupboard if no volunteers are about.
Thank you for understanding and your support.

Retirement Village
For some cats due to their age or illnesses, rehoming is not possible. That is why we have created our very own luxury retirement village which provides plenty of home comforts, veterinary care, and love for our more mature residents. Take a look at our retirement village gallery to see our OAP cats living their best life.
