Established in 1990, Shropshire Cat Rescue has grown and developed into a popular charity which offers shelter, veterinary care, food and love to the many animals requiring help.
The shelter, which occupies a two acre site at the home of one of its founder members, is cleverly knitted into the landscaped gardens. Visitors can enjoy outstanding views of Wenlock Edge, The Wrekin, and the Welsh Hills. The shelter welcomes visitors of all ages but children must be supervised at all times.
The charity is run entirely by volunteers and so visitors are requested to make contact by telephone or email before visiting.
A gift shop and snack shop are available on site along with access to public toilets.
During the summer months there is a picnic area which can be utilised by our visitors. Admission to the shelter is free, however a donation is much appreciated to help maintain the care of our animals.
Bi-monthly Open Meetings are held where anyone with an interest is welcome. Find details of our next Open meeting here.
