Ernie is quite timid, and would suitable for a quiet home who will let him set the pace of interaction. He hasn't quite decided yet who he wants to be, so a home where there is no pressure on him to be a lap cat, or be a hunter would be ideal.

He would be suitable for a home with another cat, this may actually help bring him out of his shell if he can observe the way they interact and learn from them. 

​

He could live with cat friendly dogs, but children would be too much for him.
