We have four special Free Rangers living at our shelter at Shropshire Cat Rescue.
Rudy was hand reared by our shelter manager when he was orphaned at only one day old . Understandably he stayed with her and her family, but as she lives at the shelter Rudy now considers himself to be one of our Free Rangers. He has a huge personality and is much loved by everyone who meets him.
Chloe came to us when a year old. She had some health issues so couldn't be adopted and was too young to live in our Retirement Village. She was also very shy and nervous so she went to live with the shelter manager. Even though very young Chloe had skin cancer on her ears which meant they had to be removed but she is still a pretty little cat. She has recently become more confident and now considers herself to be one of our Free Rangers and accepts attention and treats from the volunteers.
Paige was found crying under a hedge at about 8 weeks old. Her coat was completely matted, requiring a total shave. It was coming into winter so the shelter manager cared for in her house. She stayed! Once chipped and spayed Paige was allowed to explore the shelter. Like Rudy she is now a regular visitor, out more than she's in, full of mischief, with a long haired coat in which she collects leaves and grass seeds. She is loved by all the volunteers who often groom her to remove them.
Brimble was also adopted by the shelter manager. He is quite shy and rarely seen outside, but responds to quiet overtures from volunteers when he does venture into the shelter.
These keyrings are exclusive to Shropshire Cat Rescue and can be found in the "Gifts" and "Small Gifts and Stocking Fillers" collections in our online shop.
